What is Wide Nose Bridge?

A wide nose has a wide nose bridge or a wide nasal bone, this can result in an unpleasant look, and makes your high nose bridge look dull. During a wide nose bridge surgery, a vertical incision is made in both sides of the nasal bone and the bone is being pushed toward the center of the nose, this will narrow the shape of the bone. This procedure is one of the best to reach the results you want for your nose and give you an excellent look.

The width of the nasal base should be the same as the width between eyes and the length from the outer corner of the eye to the ear.
The width of the top of your nose is proportionally good-balanced when it reaches 70~80% of the width of the nasal base.

Procedure of the Operation

A wide nose cannot simply be corrected by raising the nose bridge. A wide nasal bone doesn’t mean that the bone is thick.
The nasal bone is fragile, thus excessive grinding of the bone can create holes in the bone and slight grinding wouldn’t affect it at all. Therefore, for the successful correction of a wide nose, nasal osteotomy is required.
